Sheep BCS App
Body Condition Scoring (BCS) is one of the main performance indicators on a sheep farm. It is a lead indicator (as opposed to a lag indicator) to the metrics that drive profitability such as, scanning percentage, lamb survival, milking ability, weaning weights and growth rates
Since there is currently no publicly available body condition scoring app it is hard to do.
At Arkley Farm we don't like excuses we like solutions, so we have built our own BCS app for sheep.
Not we are farmer, not app builders. This is currently in the testing phase. We want to give you access to it to help test it out so we can make it better.
App Features
This app is in the testing phase but has the current features:
Phone and computer friendly
Voice or button recording of body condition scores, voice recording is very user friendly for in the sheep yards
The ability to set targets for average as well as top and bottom limits for BCS
The ability to look at your data at an overall business level, farm level or mob level
